Paul & Joe is one of my favourite beauty brands – they do things to make up that turn it into art. I see a lot of make up as you can imagine, but a new Paul & Joe collection is a thrill every single time. So, a recurring theme for the brand is cats – for us dog people, this is obviously most unfair (;-)) but the new cat-core lipsticks are irrisistible – whether you like cats or dogs!

There are three new shades coming (from left to right): Cafe Parisien, Cafe Espresso and Coffee Cherry. Cafe Parisien has a central core of milky beige surrounded by pink, Cafe Espresso is a nude tone with a coffee toned core and Coffee Cherry is a vivid red with a nude toned centre. I can’t wait to see how these translate to the lips (samples are on their way so hopefully next week I’ll be able to show you).

There are always new casings, too, based on the Paul & Joe seasonal fabric collections, so you can mix and match up your product just how you like it.

It’s interesting to note that Paul & Joe use a Japanese candy making technique to get these picture cores in the centre of the lipsticks – I guess that means there is scope for anything to be replicated. I can’t wait to see where this trend goes…

The Paul & Joe Lipsticks A/W 2015 launch on 1st August.
