[unpaid/sample] Continuing on through the samples sent to me by Mary Quant, I’m focussing on the lipsticks today. There are 36 shade of which I have five, but they’re a very, very pleasant five! The texture is lush – soft, balmy, sheeny and comfortable. Not dissimilar to the glisting balm I featured the other day but with more pigment. On the subject of pigment, these are softly pigmented – there’s no drama to them and that’s the joy that makes them the easiest of wears.

The shades don’t have names – they’re numbers. So from left to right, it’s B04, P01, R04, P04 and R09. The formulas are cream or sheer.

This is B04.

This is P01.

This is P04.

This is R09.
This is R04.
So, they’re all easily wearable with a pink or neutral vibe to them. My favourite thing about them is the texture which makes me feel like I’m wearing balm – my favourite of all things! They’re £28 each HERE. There’s a selection of matte, cream and sheer – I definitely want to look at more shades, and of course, to see if there is a Rene Pink dupe in there.

I’ve added these lipsticks to the MQ blushes I will check out in Tokyo this autumn. They look so lovely! I prefer balm lipsticks because my lips get so dry.
I can;t go anywhere near a matte – just too drying.
That B04 looks like the sort of cool mauve pink I like. V tempted! However, I did find the one you showed the other day. The colour I was after, Mauve Whip, was in stock on the Stylevana.com site. Emma x
good finding skills! Stylvana is great.
I live across the pond in New England. We use to have a Mary Quant store here in NYC. I’ve been there and it was amazing. But it’s gone Thank you for your review.
So welcome – we had one here in London (after the original which I think closed in the 2000’s) but that’s gone too.
