Nails Inc NailKale

It’s totally my bad that I didn’t take much notice of the Nails Inc NailKale – probably because Alexa Chung is the face of, and I switched off.  I covered the Lace polish back in May but now that it’s full steam ahead for Nails Inc NailKale I’ve been able to have a proper peek at it. Never mind the kale aspect – the bottles are just gorgeous – so tactile and chunky with a luxurious amount of weight to them.. this repositioning takes them right into the luxury market and I’m curious if the entire Nails Inc range will eventually end up this way – I kind of hope so.

So, the kale. Everyone’s favourite superfood (except mine – and I can tell at 10 metres if someone has had a kale smoothie for breakfast because kale breath is one of the worst things in the world!) Kale actually does have some translations to nail health, being rich in Vitamin C and E which in themselves can boost up keratin production. As someone whose nails are in a terrible state thanks to years of over-polishing and not enough oiling, I’m eyeing these up and wondering if I can break my nail rehab for them.

So, for the line up of Nails Inc NailKale, there’s an illuminator, a Superfood Base Coat and four Nails Inc best sellers in the Kale formula. Above, Montpellier Walk, Mayfair Lane and Victoria, plus dark green Bruton Mews in the top picture. They’re launching next month for £15 (superfood is £15) and I have my fingers crossed that my nails will be better enough to give them a go. It’s soooo tempting!

Kale, in nail varnishes? I didn’t recognise they were nails inc until I looked closely at the photo. Will be a no from me!

The bottles look great, have they improved the brushes? It always surprise s me that Nails Inc still have the traditional thin brush!

I don’t understand this kale trend. It has been around for ages and a staple for the South here in the states. I, myself, don’t mind eating it if sauteed in clarified butter and spiced up a bit but to have it in beauty products is beyond me!

By the way, here in the states there is kale soda pop which I find totally gross. Also, kale smoothies are gross. I don’t understand what the trend is in turning veggies into a healthy “milkshake”. I would rather indulge in the fat and all the yummy fun of a milkshake and shake off my sins for an extra hour exercising.

    Sorry, for going off topic!

  13. These look stunning but the price tag is huge. If nails Inc stopped making their new releases so expensive I might consider it. Xx
