This is a very swish application from Marks and Spencer; a virtual beauty counter where you can upload your picture and try on make up. I’ve seen these advanced technology make-over tools in action and they’re super impressive. This one at Your Beauty, uses ground-breaking declassified US army face recognition technology so it is the top of its game.
You can dabble around or try complete looks, such as Golden Goddess, or experiment with a smoky eye form one of 32 regularly updated how-to videos with none of the commitment. But, I’ve got to say the Virtual Manicure section is what is really exciting for me. Upload a picture of your hand so you have your exact skin-tone and nail shape, and get painting! It’s making those ye olde worlde put-a-colour-on-a-nail apps look really clunky. You can upload all your looks to Facebook, Twitter or Google + if you want to.
I’m quite in love with this because it’s so top of the range, and actually, a lot of fun. Give it a try and let me know how you go. Find it HERE

This looks great although I’m still not sure I would feel confident buying certain make up products without seeing them in the flesh. It certainly makes internet browsing more fun though!

After seeing what the Daily Mail made of the Duchess of Cambridge using this I was very sceptical. The ‘updated’ Kate looked frankly tarty (she’s a Bobbi Brown girl for goodness sake – the whole Royal gig is about restraint and understatement). But I’ll give it a try.
Looks great but sadly it doesn’t work on Apple products because of the whole Flash issue. When I spoke to M&S about it, they suggested I took the issue up with Apple, so I wasn’t impressed with their customer service.
