Last time I posted about Joan Collins beauty products, I had several comments questioning whether I really thought it was good. Yes, I definitely do – some products are easily better than others though – and it’s for a specific market. The really wow products for me though are the Joan Collins Glorious Gloss – a couple of new shades have caught my eye, in particular the superbright pink Too Hot To Handle.

Not only are the glosses non-sticky and only very gently scented, but they’re also highly light reflective which is flattering all day long for its intended market. My lips have always been quite creased and lined so I avoid all but the most hydrating lipsticks and stay with gloss for the most part. Too Hot To Handle is something I’d wear – even though I’m bright shy – because you can moderate the intensity – even with just a little, you get a good glossy effect. If you want to take it right up to the max though, it’s a whole lot of shine! Next to Too Hot is the understated Piper, launching July.

The packaging reminds me of 1980’s Lauder and you get a whole lot of gloss compared to say, Bobbi, for your £18. The JC range does a roaring, sell-out-every-time trade on QVC, which tells me I’m not the only one loving it. Although, I will say that if JC has actually been anywhere near it, I’ll eat my Ascot hat. Find it HERE.
