Estee Lauder Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Makeup

I’m pretty sure there is someone at Estee Lauder in charge of making names too long. “Nope, Perfectionist Makeup isn’t nearly long enough – go and add more words and then double it.” However, that’s not to say I’m not loving it – I totally am, not least because it contains the same technology as Perfectionist (CP+R) (eye roll) Serum so it’s got some serious skincare added in. Lauder foundations are always good – among the very best – and I’m already a fan of the horribly expensive Re-Nutriv Foundation (which I think may be being phased out) so £37 for Perfectionist seems like a positive bargain already against £63.

And the brush – what can I say? It’s a wonderful brush but totally not necessary. If you like to apply your foundation with a brush, then this one hugs the facial contours beautifully and delivers the foundation in a smooth application. Personally, I like to use fingertips (with exceptions) and find that Estee Lauder Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Makeup covers just as well using that (free) method. The brush is also £37 and launches, with the foundation, on 1st September.

I am a huge fan of Estee Lauder foundations as well. Might just try it out to see how it compares to their other ones. That brush looks similar to one the Sephora makes. I bought it thinking it would help with blending. It was really awkward to use and too rough for my skin.

That brush looks exactly the same as the W7 professional face blender brush (I got one for contouring) on eBay for £5 & it’s not a bad brush might try it for foundation now. Love the sound of the foundation

It isn’t like anyone is going to the counter and have to laboriously ask for the “Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Makeup”, they will just say Perfectionist makeup. To me the latter part of the name is more for descriptive purposes so the customer can understand what category of makeup it is. I don’t go into a tizzy about what companies call their products.

I’m not in a tizzy Eve.. just trying to make it more entertaining I guess.

Jane, do you think this brush would be good for contouring (with powders like the Nars Contour Duo, etc)?

I would say not.. the bristles are quite stubby (though soft) and I don’t think it has enough flexibility x

  5. Nice. I love Lauder makup products as a general rule and also as a general rule anything that contains Youth in their label:-) So I can’t hardly wait to try this.

Youth infusing sounds so promising as a name. Might have to buy it for this alone!

  7. Ohhh liking the sound of this a lot!

    Nic x
