MAC Snow Ball is all about metallic glimmer with a frosted twist. The packaging is actually very beautiful with gold, silver and rose gold in sequin and satin pouches decorated with pom-poms and baubles. All of the brands are up against it this Christmas – we’ve seen so many new launches and they’re all eating into existing brands who are having to bring their best game to capture the fickle beauty consumer. I genuinely think that MAC can sit back and relax – Snow Ball is a winner. There’s a Snow Ball Mini Lipstick Set (£85) that will top ALL of the wish lists. For now though, I can show you snapshot of the individual products (i.e. not the sets just yet).
I have to say though that this single Extra Dimension Eye Shadow in Stylishly Merry (£16) is the thing that has caught my heart. It’s a warm golden shade with a pink shift and a beautifully detailed snowflake embossed on the top – it literally gleams on the lids. There are four other shades.
It wouldn’t be Christmas without a MAC face powder, £24.50 – this one in Happy Go Dazzlingly in a warm gold; it’s more highlighter than all over powder though. There is another shade, Here Comes Joy, with more of a peach tone to it – but it’s still very golden.
There are six lipsticks – these two beauties are Elle Belle and Shimmer & Spice which has a pink/red shift like the eyeshadow.

I’d be prepared to put money down to bet that you won’t have experienced a skin care texture like this before...
In the swatch above from bottom to top, it’s Stylishly Merry, Happy Go Dazzlingly, Shimmer & Spice and Elle Belle. The collection hits counters on 25th October.
