Mavala Snow Mask Review

[unpaid/sample] This mask from Mavala is very timely – we don’t quite have snow here but it’s certainly been madly cold!

Mavala Snow Mask Review

The Mavala Snow Mask is a gel in oil emulsion mask so it’s loose without being runny. It’s pleasantly cooling on the skin and reminded me in texture of Chanel’s Masque de Nuit au Camelia, except of course that you don’t leave the Mavala Snow Mask on all night. A quick ten minutes will see your skin soothed and hydrated.

Mavala Snow Mask Review

Our good friend glycerin plays a pivotal part in this mask – it’s not an exciting ingredient but it’s an absolute workhorse for skin and needs an urgent rebrand I think! If your skin feels tight, this is a good releaser and also a good post-flight skin invigorator. In many ways, Mavala Snow Mask feels like an old fashioned mask – I’m not taking any notice of the alpine water ingredient because it’s just to flimsy to say a particular type of water can make a difference and Mallow Flower sits a long way down on the ingredient list. I think what we are looking at here is a beautifully textured shot of glycerin that will help your skin immediately hydration wise but will also help your skin to hold on to its moisture. Very nice in a bath with a good book :-). I’ve found it at Nail Polish Direct for £24.31 HERE.
