Diptyque Car Freshener

We are such a long way from those dangly tree shaped car air fresheners that mini cab drivers have as standard with the new Diptyque Car Diffuser. I’m actually disappointed if there is no tree when I take an Uber – it’s tradition. I have a cup holder, a water bottle holder and secret parking money compartment in my car so I’m more than happy to add another accessory. Plus, this fragrance offering is not dangly.

Diptyque Car Freshener

That lovely rose aroma that Diptyque does so well is no less well served by being in a diffuser. The inserts contain fragranced beads and the whole thing clips into the the main body. You then attach it to your – um, knowledge gap appearing here with internal car part names – air conditioning grill/slats (?) so that when you have your air con or heating on, you get more of a rosy waft. You can open and close the vents on the diffuser if you want to regulate the amount of fragrance. There are other scents available – you don’t have to be in a rose washed hatchback (Baies, Ambre, Figuier, Orange Blossom, Ginger, 34).

The Diptyque Car Diffuser is a thing like a handbag charm – you don’t really need it but it feels like a pretty treat that embellishes rather than improves. I love mine and it’s the kind of thing I’d gift to a friend who has pretty much everything beauty and fragrance covered off already if I was feeling generous – it’s £35 and the fillers are £25 each HERE. Yikes.
