I don’t know if you remember, but a while back I blogged about this extraordinary product – the Shiseido Fullmake Washable Base. The premise is that you use the base cream under whatever make-up you are wearing and when it comes to cleansing, the most you need to do is wipe a cloth with hot water over your face. The Fullmake finish acts as a barrier between skin and make-up.

So, it looks pretty unremarkable here – I made sure I worked it all into my skin before throwing some make up onto it.

I’ve chucked my current daily staples onto my hand over the Full Make.. and haven’t spared on the amount.

I don’t use it at this strength on my face – honest! So after slathering my hand (in my Vine Video I also put some Bourjois black khol on my hand, too – find me at Britishbeautyblogger on Vine) I ran a cloth under some hot water.

Now, this is pretty special. You literally wipe the damp cloth over your make-up and it glides away… it’s really hard to explain, but it just disappears and transfers over to the cloth completely seamlessly. No rubbing or scrubbing. It’s just all out amazing and I have never come across anything like it. And, what’s more, your skin feels like it’s been properly cleansed..there is absolutely no trace of the make-up. For once, I’m lost for words.
It’s only available in Japan right now, but it’s well worth a go if you can get hold of some not least for the astonishing novelty factor.

I have dreamt of this product for years… not for makeup removal admittedly, more as a smoothing & protecting layer between skin and makeup. Does it have any benefits other than aiding cleansing?

This looks amazing! I wonder how good it is for skin? I would imagine it would be great for spot sufferers if it acts like a barrier, although I suppose that depends on what the formulation is like as it might be a bit counter-productive. I’ve always thought that a product that works like a barrier for make-up for acne skin is desperately needed. I would assume that it if gets in the way of make-up then it would do the same for dirt and grime? That really would be fantastic xx
Almost like magic!! Shiseido is one of the companies more and better care of these details, what they promise, fulfill it

This is extremely interesting stuff. It must sit on top of the skin, rather thank being absorbed into the skin during the day? Which makes me wonder; would your make up just ‘melt off’ during the day? Or does the cream has a ‘holding’ ability to keep make up in place? Have you tried it under your normal face of make up for the day Jane? Would love to know if make up stays in place all day, as that would be amazing!
I was excited when you first mentioned this, but seeing it it action I seriously cannot wait for this. I don’t usually buy high end products, my budget’s too small but I will happily spend away for this 😀
