To be clear, it’s not an essential in your routine. Ilia The Base Face Milk is more of a very pleasant addition in the form of a milky splash. It’s thicker than milk, looser than a lotion and I think what you’ll notice first is how instantly soothing it feels. It’s got ultimate skin compatibility in that as soon as it hits the complexion, it feels like its supposed to be there. The USP is four-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid – different weights have different capabilities – formulated with lipids, fatty acids and plant sterols.
There’s a whole host of barrier protection and hydration in this milk and over time you may see some extra smoothness – definitely a boost for the skin and an absolute pleasure to use after cleansing and before your moisturiser. At £58, it’s a treat but The Base Face Milk feels exactly like one but there is a mini for £28. You can find it HERE.
