Ok, so this is nothing like a dupe for Peridot, but it’s pretty lovely in its own right. A dark, sage green with very subtle golden shimmers makes it a fabulous colour for late summer as well as early autumn. I love khaki shades with a tan so this is going to compliment any vestiges you might have left from holidays, although it launches on 1st August so you might be able to take it with you!
I took the opportunity to try out Chanel Extreme Shine Nail Lacquer that I bought a couple of weeks ago in Selfridges. Yes, it does give shine, but no more I don’t think than Seche or similar top coats. It’s also got a rather weedy brush..the bristles are long and thin and not enough of them so each nail needs at least two goes to cover the whole nail. However, it was touch dry in less than a minute so on that score, it’s impressive.
I’d like to see how it increases shine over some very dark shades such as navy, but over the EL shade I can’t say I was truly impressed.

I’m increasingly impressed with EL these days. Can’t wait to see the rest of the Autumn collection, and thanks for this sneaky peek!
LOVE the chanel shiny varnish and what a winner being touch dry so quickly….fab for mums (the days of sitting painting nails for an hour …well and truly OVER!!!! : )
