[samples/affiliate] I’ve picked out a few favourites from Charlotte Tilbury for gift ideas but also discovered the Superstar Lipsticks that I think launched earlier in the year. Having not come across them before, they’re now officially my favourite things from this brand being exactly the consistency and coverage I love.
These are slender sticks – as far as I can see, they’re all fairly nude and neutral in 9 shades. They’ve got a balmy feel to them and the sheerness gives lips a wash of colour that amplify your natural tone. Possibly they’re so comfortable because of the hyaluronic and oil content, and they leave a beautiful shine.
They’re also slightly illuminating so bring light to the lips – there’s quite a strong vanilla smell from them when you initially open the tubes but it quickly fades.
These are the shades I’ve tried – Pillow Talk (my favourite), Glow Kiss and Walk of Shame (dreadful name but great colour). These are nudes I can wear because of the lack of intensity – a full on lipstick in the same shades and a matte finish just aren’t as flattering for me. They’re £25 each HERE and unfortunately don’t seem to be in the Black Friday deals. They’re on-line exclusives so you won’t find them in the shops.
Although Charlotte Tilbury has a big gifting range this year, it’s the lower ticket items that I am favouring, such as this Legendary Eyes Set, £25, containing a black kohl (very good) and a Legendary Lashes Volume 2 Mascara.
When I say lower ticket, obviously everything is relative, but I mean within the context of the brand. I like the CT kohl which is soft, deeply black and stays as long as a kohl can. The mascara gets raves from some and thumbs down from others so I guess it’s just how your mascara preference pans out. It’s HERE.
Next up, The Gift of Pillow Talk Lips which is also £25. Pillow Talk has been the run away success in terms of shade – it’s a pinky toned nude colour that (almost) everyone can wear.
The set comes with a full size Pillow Talk Lipstick and smaller size lip liner. If there is any one ‘please all’ this is probably it. It’s HERE.
I’m a fan of Charlotte Tilbury brushes so this little brush set is really useful. It contains a blusher brush, an eye blender, an eye smudger and a precision brush (handy for under eye and close work).
Personally, I’d use every brush in this set – there isn’t a ‘useless’ one so even at £35 I think the value is good and a great buy for someone who has all the make up but none of the good tools! It’s HERE. They come in a snug, velvet bag so the brushes stay in position and therefore are protected.
Non affiliate link is HERE. There are various offers on the site – a free make up bag with a £70 spend rising to a free lipstick and liner with £100 spend, plus two free samples with every order. Black Friday has already started on the website with 30% off various items such as the Colour Chamelion Eye Trio and the Beach Stick Trio (yes to both!).
