3D Butterflies For The Face

Ooh, I’ve had some weird and wonderful things from the postman today – I needed them as well because I was having a properly blogging blah day! So, first up are these 3D Butterflies For The Face – the fact that they’ve got (age) 5+ on them put me off until I opened them up. They’re just so cool!

They’re 3D in the sense that they are two layers – things like flowers need a facial contour for you to see the 3D element and make it stand out, but the little butterflies! No, their wings open up from get-go (give the top one a little pinch in the middle to get it to stand up). NPW, who make these, are known for their quirky beauty (and more) products. They’re usually cheap and cheerful, and with no disrespect to NPW, I’m thinking if these were made from gauze or a higher quality material, they’d make all of the festival round-ups.

I love body adornments – I can see these 3D butterflies being taken further by fashion brands (look how gold tattoos have boomed) and becoming a summer trend.

The NPW site is here if you want to have a nosy but you can’t buy from it – it’s a supplier site rather than a retail site. Just hope Selfridges snap these up PDQ. (There is a little bit of me that wants to buy the ‘bird poo’ stickers to secretly stick on my children’s coats… I know.. poor kids, hey?)
