Coincidentally, more YSL! I have a couple of the new YSL Couture Palettes to swatch, although there are actually eleven new five-pan palettes to choose from.
First up, in the YSL Couture Palettes selection, Rive Gauche. Initially, I thought these shades were just too difficult to wear, but I took a little look at the press release which says “think of the blue-greys of Indian cashmere” and once it’s put like that, I’m seeing it in a new light! Checking back to YSL Autumn 2013 City Drive palette, I see that YSL loves a limey green so it must sell well because it’s the colour that won’t go away, and yet, I never see anyone actually wearing it.
The other palette I have to swatch is Surrealiste – and that’s a lot of purple in one place! However, every purple nuance from lavender to violet is possible within Surrealiste making it extremely versatile for soft or dramatic looks.
Each palette comes with instructions, although I think trying to cram all five shades on one lid (look 3) is wildy optimistic. The YSL Couture Palettes are £42 each – you can find the full line-up HERE.

That purple palette is to die for. I wear purple shadow all the time because my eyes are green so I’m instantly in love with Surrealiste.
Great post!
