I absolutely adore Avene.. if anyone has a sensitive skin issue, I send them straight to Avene products which seem to unfailingly work at calming things down every single time. I’ve even managed to make a tinted moisturiser for a friend who is allergic to every single foundation she has ever tried by mixing Avene Skin Recovery Calming Formula with Vichy Dermablend Foundation for the first coverage she has ever used without breaking out. And, I love Micellar waters for cleansing. In fact, I rarely use anything else, except if I’m doing a home facial, or if my skin is a bit dry, and then I’ll usually opt for a nourishing cleansing balm.
So, the discovery of an Avene Micellar is my favourite beauty news of the month and it’s really just about perfect in consistency and efficacy. It swiped off all my make-up with no bother and left my skin feeling softened and not at all dry. You can’t really ask for much more. I suspect it might struggle with waterproof, but I would recommend Avene Micellar in a heart-beat for a very good, non-irritating, daily Micellar cleanse. It’s £12.50 at Boots.

I want to buy the Avene Thermal Spring water. Have you tried it? If so, do you recommend it?
I have very sensitive skin and want something to freshen up the skin when I’m sitting by the computer.
Hi Carros.. yes, definitely.. it’s a lovely water and very refreshing in summer.
I love Avene products ; )
I bought this just recently hoping this would be great for my sensitive skin. But I think this is horrible, my skin burnt like crazy, even like an hour after I used this. I will not let this anywhere near my face again, I don’t think this really is a product for sensitive skin, I totally regret buying this. 🙁
Wow-thank you for this. I just saw it in a store and was wondering. I love Avene as well.
I love Avene. I have acne prone skin and I used a mix of blue light, laser, dermabrasion and Tazorac when it flares up badly. So you can imagine how sensitive my skin is and I still use Tazorac for maintenance. My dermatologist actually got me started on this brand. Its what he sells in his clinic but I buy it at drugstore for the store loyalty points and occasional sales.
Fantastic, my skin is sooooooo sensitive and i have never had a problem wiyh avene it’s my saviour!! Highly recommend! x
