[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] It’s a shame for many reasons that festivals are cancelled this year, and not least because these are completely perfect for any kind of face and body colour expression with or without the glitter. They’re the kind of make up product that has endless possibilities although they’re intended for eyes. Also, I’m just going to say here and now that photographing these was an absolute nightmare and I didn’t get it quite right at all times. These are double ended, held together by magnets in the middle and as we know, magnets both repel and attract, so the absolute random-dancing-on-their-own trying to line them up in a herding kittens kind of way was funny to start with…. PLUS, having to wipe them every two seconds because of fingerprints. I am honestly at my own pity party here ;-)))).
But.. it did mean I could stack them all like this – a balancing act impossible without the attraction element!
So, the premise of Double Dip is to create a bright, liquid, matte eye colour in any of the bright shades shown and top up at the other end with glitter in the same shade.
The quality is nice and the matte liquid dries quite quickly although you will have to try not to move your lids while it ‘sets’. With the white shade you may have to reapply to get a solid block shade.
I don’t know if these will find their place in the current market – I’m finding that brights (other than for lips) aren’t as popular as they were – there’s a tone shift to neutrals – but we shall see.
Shades from bottom to top are: Blue Jean, Pink Martini, Grey Fox, White Out and Spicy Mustard. I’ve found them on Beauty Bay for £18 instead of £24 HERE. Non affiliate is HERE.
