Givenchy Cushion Kiss

Hello Givenchy Cushion Kiss! These are the new balm/gloss hybrids launching in April in colours Coral Kiss and Berry Kiss. They remind me of the raspberry sauce that you get on a Mr Whippy at the sea-side – they have that same texture; syrupy, slippy and loose but full of colour.

The cushion applicators are the real point of difference with Givenchy Cushion Kiss – personally I like them because they’re a break from the norm but in reality they don’t make so much difference to application. It’s suggested that you massage the cushion over the lip but in reality, I think you might do this once!

If you like a very sheer lip with juicy looking shine, the formula held quite well in testing when I had thought it would disappear in moments. They’re washes of colour – highly translucent and summery with a little bit of tackiness (not like the oil formulas we’re seeing currently)  – and because they’re so fruity looking, I thought there would be a fragrance, but there is nothing particular that I can discern.

Givenchy Cushion Kiss is high shine gloss done a little differently.

These look cute but probably sticky…..? I’m totally in love with the black ‘magic’ Givenchy Vinyl lipstick, perfect on its own or over other shades to create new ones. My luxury treat!!

They remind me of Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector
