[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] First up, I’ll say that I haven’t put this to the 24 hour test! But, it’s a while since I’ve experienced such a grippy lipstick. Most brands focus on hydration with mattes but MAC is having none of it – they’re here for the long stay and nothing more!

The strange thing is that the MAC Locked Kiss 24 Hour Lipsticks all look more or less the same when they’re in their bullets – it’s only when you actually swatch them on the arm that the colour difference is apparent. The claim on these is that they’re long-wearing, colour-true, smudge-resistant, bleed and feather-resistant, flake and crease-resistant and non-caking. If my understanding of colour-true is that they look the same on the skin as they do in the bullet, I disagree. I thought mine would all be very close in colour and they’re not.

Bottom to top in the swatch: Posh, Vixen and Vicious.

This is Vixen. Don’t be fooled by the sheen on this – I applied lip balm before I put it on (therefore ruining any long wear possibilities) but by that time I was desperate for moisture. I’ve got mixed feelings about these – they’re dry feeling but if you really need good wear time, they kind of have to be. The formula contains passionfruit oil but still – unless you’re used to really matte lipsticks, the texture feels strange. These are a Selfridges Exclusive and are £32 each HERE. There are also some brilliant Black Friday deals over at MAC such as Lost In The Gloss Lipglass Trio with a value of £66 but on sale for £26.25 HERE.
