Barry M Wildlife Tinted Balm

[unpaid/affiliate] I’m pretty pleased with these little lip balms from Barry M modelled by a lovely sloth crocheted by my friend Charlie. As a proudly cruelty-free brand, this feels like a natural tie-in for Barry M, to support a non-profit foundation that looks after endangered wildlife. 20% of net profits go to The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation – it’s well worth reading up about the man himself HERE who was deemed by The Slade as having no talent at all but who then went on to become a wildlife artist of distinction.

I’ve got two shades here – Untamed Red which has a blue-ish tone to it and Sunset Pink which is very much a suit-all neutral, splash of coral pink.

The tint is light – you’ll get more pay-off from the red than the pink, obviously and it translates to a light wash of colour. It also depends upon your natural lip colour which will dictate what you see – red looks rather juicy and nice on me, but pink faded into the background.

In terms of the ‘balminess’ – I find these to be punching above their weight. I didn’t need to constantly re-apply as is often the case with cheaper balms and like the dewy look they give as well as the moisture feel. There’s a slight fruity smell to them – nothing to object to – and, at £4.99 each, a treat worth having. Find them HERE, non affiliate HERE.

I need to ask where did you get the knitted sloth from, it’s so cute! x

A friend, Charlie, crocheted it for me 🙂
