Malin & Goetz Perfume Oils
Malin & Goetz Perfume Oils

I have one manly smelling arm and one happy smelling arm right now because I’ve been testing out the Malin & Goetz Perfume Oils. I’m completely drawn to Petitgrain (happy arm) and quite like dark rum, but do not like Cannibis at all. It’s kinda hippy/hempy stuff that just basically smells a bit unwashed to me!

I could take wafts of Petitgrain all day long – which is lucky, because on my skin, there is a lot of last. It’s a blend of bergamot and petitgrain with a splash of lavender and down notes of guaiacwood and tonka. Guaiacwood? A distillation of sawdust and wood from the palo santo tree – always learning here! Dark Rum is bergamot, patchouli, plum and amber – it’s just a bit too ‘old’ for me. I’m kind of surprised that these come in at £38 – not sure I would at that price – but if you’re already addicted to any of these fragrance types, a concentrated oil makes it a much more travel friendly thing. Roll on fragrances are far more popular in the US than here but they do make all kinds of sense – you’d barely notice the 9ml weight in your handbag, but if you took the traditional 100ml fragrance round with you, I think you’d know!
