[unpaid/sample] I’m definitely still using sanitizer by the bucket load although I think perhaps not quite as religiously as last year. I think I’m more mindful to use it when I’m out and about – I’ve had some experiences with the automatic spritzers in Zara (would not spritz til I moved my hand away and then it spritzed the air very generously) and also with the ones with the pedal – impossible not to look at your feet as you push down on the pedal so you don’t notice your hand is in the wrong place and the result is nicely sanitized shoes!

WINCHY TwistMist

I got sent a sample of WINCHY TwistMist – a Travalo style sanitizer that you can ring the changes with as there are several differently scented fillers. Of all the sanitizing methods, mists and spritzes are my favourites – they’re more controllable than gels and even better that you can pick your favourite essential oil fragrance. There are four variants of fragrance – Vibe (lemongrass & lavender), Fresh (spearmint & eucalyptus), Zest (pink grapefruit & lime) and Mood (cedarwood & bergamot) – and they all leave an impressive essential oil trail after the alcohol has evaporated.

The TwistMist dispenser comes with a spray top that add to whichever bottle of fragranced sanitizer you want to use. You pop that into the container and when you twist, the container nozzle pops up and you can press down for a squirt. Twist it back and it disappears so that it’s leak proof. It’s nicely designed – a very smooth process that feels natural from the get go.

WINCHY TwistMist

I love spearmint (hate peppermint) so Fresh is the one I have in my twister – and it’s very more-ish which I don’t think you often say about sanitizer. The formula is made to the correct alcohol specs, there is no artificial fragrance (it’s all essential oils) and is vegan – even the dispenser is aluminium so there is really nothing not to like. It’s nice enough to be gifty but not so posh you can’t think to keep it to yourself! The dispenser is £15 (which you’d only buy once) and the refills are £5 each which just seems very, very reasonable to me for something that is very much a level up from day to day sanitizers. It might be too early but if you have stockings to fill or Secret Santas to please, I’d recommend it highly. You can find WINCHY HERE.
