If you love your lip colour a proper velvet matte, then you’re going to love the new Makeup Revolution Ultra Velours; ten shades of creamy, matte formula.
So, to me, these are weird feeling on the lip – but for a velvet texture, there is no heaviness to them. I like gloss so I couldn’t quite get used to the fact that there’s no stickiness to them – they look like a gloss but don’t feel like one! Pigment wise, they’re lighter than you might think – quite gentle and I needed two applications to get a medium looking shade. But once there, it was lovely and I like the buildable nature of these. Some velvets are just downright terrifying because there is so much colour to them.
I think you can make out the names but I’ll just run through them from bottom to top: Can’t We Just Make Love Instead, Move Your Mouth Forever, Don’t Bring Me Down (the shade I tested), Say Yes, It’s What We Do Best and What Will It Take To Make You Love Me.
The next five are: Their Eyes Can’t Find Us, You’re Not The Best, You’re Not The Last, All I Think About Is You, Sweet Boy With A Big Mouth, Not One For Playing Games (also tested).
So, in terms of wear, the 8 hour promise is a bit of a stretch – I found that I needed to reapply after a couple of hours. They’ve got a generic vanilla scent to them that is quite light – not overwhelming by any means.
Makeup Revolution Ultra Velours launch the same day as Girl Panic – 5th December at the Makeup Revolution Site HERE.
