You’ll have to banish all thoughts of unicorns to take these Holographic Glosses seriously – they’re so not that unless you’re adding endless amounts of glitter and a pair of iridescent wings. Think of them as some va-va-voom for your lipstick – a topcoat that adds another dimension or just a wash of intrigue over a bare lip.
There’s suddenly been a rush of holo products (Lottie London, Soap & Glory) lately and it’s really easy to dismiss them as an Instagram fad but they’re so pretty just to party up your lips and ring the changes. In texture, they’re feather light on the lips – you barely feel them there – and have a glossy sheen rather than full on gloop. At £7.99 I’d say grab one to wake up your make up.
The shades I have are Opal (pink) and Sapphire (blue). They’re on a 3 for 2 at Superdrug HERE.
As a complete opposite, there are also some new Lip Paints in very dramatic colours – grey, deep blue and a dark purple.
Elizabeth Arden Hyaluronic Acid Ceramide Capsules
I’d be prepared to put money down to bet that you won’t have experienced a skin care texture like this before...
I love these but that doesn’t mean I’d wear them! I like the almost patent effect of them and the depth of pigment. Shade names are Purple Panic, Bye Felicia and Smokey Grey. These haven’t yet launched but keep an eye out for them if you love a statement lip. They’re £6.99 each.
