[unpaid/sample] I haven’t tried any House of Colour make up before so was very pleasantly surprised with these two gorgeous lip glosses. Away from make up, House of Colour offers colour consultations which feels like a blast from the past but actually is suddenly on trend again. Although I wouldn’t go for a colour consultation myself, I do see that the attention to detail on colour certainly pays off when it comes to cosmetics. I can wear both these glosses a) they’re very sheer and b) they’re perfect for my tone.

House of Colour Lipgloss Review

The two shades I have are Sheer Peach (97) and Sheer Antique Pink (81). Of the two, Sheer Antique Pink is my favourite – I wouldn’t necessarily call it pink at all – it’s more of a warm beige (reminds me of Jigsaw in the 90’s when they went through their sludge phase) and has a very light sprinkle of shimmer. There’s no discernible taste (yay!) and the formula has got beautiful texture – enough ‘stick’ to hold but no sticky feeling.

House of Colour Lipgloss Review

Just a little wisp of peach and shine is enough to bring my face to life a bit more – no make up going on other than Phytosurgence Blush and a tiny bit of bareMinerals Complexion Rescue. I’ve got eyeliners to review today so I’ve kept my eyes clear of anything at all.

House of Colour Lipgloss Review

Easily my favourite is Sheer Antique Pink – I can see this being a summer go-to because it’s the right warmth of neutral for me and I was instantly happy in it. Definitely being firmly lodged in the ‘keep’ drawer. I think all tones can probably wear these because they’re so sheer but I find myself very drawn to Antique Rose as something that just instantly fits. They’re £22.86 (which seems a lot but if it’s the right colour, it’s the right colour) HERE. Their website needs some work in showing colours more effectively – not sure how you’d choose a shade unless you were pointed in the right direction (hello, me!) – definitely swatches at the very least are needed.
