I’ve done a bit of scooting around the internet to have a look at postage charge differences – so far, House of Fraser has come up trumps because with free postage over £50. So most links are going to House of Fraser on this post, although I notice Debenhams have 10% off Bobbi items HERE (and free postage over £30) but not on this particular collection, other than the Old Hollywood Palette. It’s SO confusing for consumers – stores don’t always take or have access to entire collections, and so I’ve been price and stock comparing across several sites.
When I last posted on this beautiful Christmas range, my camera had failed and was using iPhone pics, so I thought it was worth revisiting with some better pictures of the products I actually have here. Old Hollywood appears to be a mix of existing and limited edition shades.
First up, the glosses. From the bottom up: Rose Shimmer, Candlelight Shimmer, Pure Gold Shimmer and Siren Red.
You can see they are very high shimmer (apart from red)! And so pretty – I’m not even keen on lip shimmer but am eyeing Rose!
They’re £18 each HERE. A couple are starting to list as low stock. Siren Red is HERE (and it’s low stock).
There are four nail polishes in the Old Hollywood Collection (there is also a red that I don’t have here), but above are: Tuxedo Black, Chrome and Solid Gold.
Only Solid Gold is left in stock at HoF, for £11 HERE.
Old Hollywood is every bit as sumptuous as other Bobbi Palettes – there is shimmer in several shades for glam, but it’s also a very wearable day palette. Your best bet for this palette is to head to Debenhams who have 10% off making this palette £53.10 instead of £59 and free postage (0ver £30). It’s HERE. It’s also on a price-match at £53.10 at John Lewis but postage isn’t free. The Bobbi Brown site HERE is the only place I can find that still has Chrome Nail Polish and Tuxedo Black in stock (£11) with free postage (and a free sample).
Seriously, it shouldn’t be this complicated, but one thing is clear, that shopping around is essential – I will always try to link to the best value options with all Christmas products coming up, but also what is clear is that because all Christmas beauty launched incredibly early this year, it’s all selling out really quickly.
