The next design led collaboration for M&S beauty is with designer Nikki Strange, best known for her inspired textile designs and prints. The designs are mystical – this one is not quite flowers; you have the feel of flowers when you look, but on close inspection, it’s colours used to create a mood, rather than a specific item.

The polish is a recreation of Nails Inc’s daisy polish – a splash of random size, non-sparkling glitter, with flowers thrown into the mix. You’d struggle to identify the daisies on a basic nail background, because they’re white, but once popped over a colour, they really come to life. If you missed the Nails Inc version, this is a much more affordable way to try the trend at £4.

I like that M&S supports young British designers, bringing their work into beauty and show-casing it to all. It’s an exciting thing to do and the more the merrier. There are ten products, and I’ll show you the rest on the other side – the Nikki Strange Marks & Spencer collaboration launches on the 7th January 2015.
