Clarins Summer 2015

You can always expect a good bronzer from Clarins for summer time. I love it when brands make the extra effort on a product – patterns don’t make a difference to the performance of the bronzer, but they certainly make a difference to the eye! How pretty. It’s called the Clarins Aquatic Treasures Summer Bronzing Compact (£30) and I’m hazarding a guess that the outer ‘frill’ is coral. Best of all, it’s matte – whew – with four very subtle harmonies within the circle.

However, I’m a little disappointed with the two limited edition Ombre Iridescente – not with the shades, which are a beautiful rose pearl and a shimmering grey, but the presentation is really poor with the product shrinking away from the container. I’m pretty sure that at £19 a time, it should be better than this.

Good greys are hard to find though.. so maybe we can forgive!

It’s a better story for the two limited edition Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Bases though (£26). They’re pretty close to BB creams in terms of texture and finish except there’s no SPF, and you can blend them into moisturiser or foundation for an extra boost of glow and skin sheen.

Shades are Apricot, a warm but light shade and Golden Bronze which sounds darker than it actually is – great for olive tones.

The Clarins Summer 2015 collection launches in May – if you haven’t yet tried the Clarins Instant Light Lip Oil, it’s a good match for this collection in terms of lightness and glow but if you see it, GRAB it.. it’s listed as sold out absolutely everywhere. I’m going to cover the true star of Clarins Summer 2015 in a separate post.
