Wow – this quiet looking skin booster has a roster of awards for being somewhat of a life saver for skin that needs SOS. I’ll say up front that it’s £80 – yikes – but you only need a couple of drops each time you use it. What’s different about Rose Plus Booster is that it’s aimed at hormonally imbalanced skin (POS or acne included) as well as redness and sensitivity. If you’ve spent too long in the sun (try not to!), or just had a peel, this is your go-to for calming everything right down.
I’ve used it as an overnight oil, having none of the issues listed above currently, and it’s genuinely a gorgeous oil that leaves skin supple without being oily or shiny. You know when skin just feels extra good? Well, that – with this! I’m including it not so much as a review but more of a flag up – it’s one of those brands that isn’t necessarily on your every day radar but has a legion of fans who wouldn’t be without it. You don’t get many products that are happy to flag POS, rosacea or acne as conditions they can help – there’s a lot of woolly talk around those with most brands coyly describing them as I’ve done above – redness or imbalanced – and not really being as precise as anyone who suffers from them would like them to be. The ingredient list is below and if you’re sensitive to essential oils, it’s not for you:
Camellia (Camellia Sinensis) Oil *
Jojoba (Simmondsia Chinesis) Oil *
Rosehip (Rosa Canina Fruit) Oil *
Rose (Rosa Damascena) Oil
Geranium (Pelargonium Roseum) Oil
Vitamin E non GM (Tocopherol)
Rosemary (Rosmarinus Officinalis) Extract *
With essential oil of: Rose Otto and Rose Geranium *Organically Grown
£80 is a lot for such a little bottle but there’s a lot of confidence in this brand from intensely loyal customers so you can’t argue with that. If you’re tempted, I’ve flagged Cult as a stockist because you’ll also receive a free Deluxe Duo containing MV Instant Revival Booster and an MV cleanser, plus other brand samples plus free postage which might take the sting out a little bit! It’s HERE.
