Makeup Revolution Unicorns Are Real Palette
Oh, hello! For anyone who loves a unicorn (and who doesn’t!), Makeup Revolution is back with more Unicorn-ness and a ton of shimmer for sparkling lids. It’s SO typical that my Makeup Revolution Unicorns Are Real Palette is stuck at the post office, but thankfully, MUR have lent me their swatches so you can see how this palette springs to life when the colours are on the skin.

If you fast forward to festivals, blue skies and waves of summer sunshine, you can see how this is going to come into its own for mesmerising lids and a whole lot of fun with colour. That blue! Personally, I can’t wait to try out the paler colours – they’re like lid stobes. Anyway, it’s on a secret link HERE before going fully live in a couple of day’s time. It’s £4.
NB! Just after I’d written this post, the palette arrived! So, now I have a few swatches of my own and some initial impressions.

So, the funny thing about this palette is that the colours in the pan don’t look as exciting as the colours out of the pan. It’s really a question of seeing the swatches that are absolutely gleaming, and yet look quite flat before they’re used.

You can see just how light catchy the first six shades are – stroby pastels and neutrals but they literally glow on the skin.

The second half of the palette is when the colour really starts to happen – I’m definitely trying that vibrant blue and the sheeny khaki shade. Maybe together! The formula is as you’d expect from MUR – soft and creamy and very easy on the blend. It’s really very good value for £4 and even if you’re more mermaid than unicorn, I think there are lots of shades in this palette that you’ll be able to work with. I’m looking forward to seeing other swatches and some eye looks using this on Instagram.

This is so pretty <3 On a real makeuprevolution kick since I bought your fortune favours the brave palette. And I've actually taken to using eyeshadow- even colours I wouldn't normally go for (thanks, Jane!) so I feel like this is a great time to try this palette. The only downside is I only very recently placed a reasonably sized order with them 😛
Oh, this palette is awesome! And I love unicorns 😉

Excellent value. Looks like a good way to experiment with some bolder colours. Very pleased to have early warning. Have ordered this and a couple of their other unicorn-y bits.
wow that looks really intense. Not my type of colours, but looks really great for anyone who like strong and intensive makeup. Great to have a choice.
This palette looks stunning although i hate getting two palettes out and by the look of it we have no matte shades 🙁 so no matte highlight and no matte crease colours, you at least need 2 in a palette i think. I’m so glad though that they have brought on some pastel colours and what look to be new colours?. ….I love MUR Adam will hate me but they are duplicating so many shadows just in different palettes so probably own 1 colour about 6 times over in other palettes. Total new colours needed me thinks from now on. It’s fine if ur new to MUR or don’t own much, but if you own nearly the whole range you see the pattern forming. Great blog and nice palette for spring xxxx
I was hoping from the picture of the palette that there was a red but from the swatches it looks more like a rust type of shade? Still a great palette for £4 and totally one I will pick up when it hits the shops.
