MAC Connect In Colour Embedded In Burgundy Palette Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I’m both pleased and not pleased with the Embedded In Burgundy Palette from MAC. Are you noticing a burgundy trend emerging? The variations on plum, claret and maroon just keep on coming so I think we know how autumn is shaping up, colour wise.

Wanna Chat? is the deepest shade in the bottom left hand corner and the first colour I tried on my lids – weirdly, it stuck to my lid, was hard to blend and gave an uneven finish. However, Loading, right next to it is a lilac shot metallic that glided over my lid seamlessly with no dropping and a velvety lustred look. I couldn’t like it more!

I think you can really see the difference between the two. Wanna Chat? is matte so that automatically makes things more difficult but you can see that it’s patchy.

The colours, from bottom to top, are as follows: Haux, Naked Lunch, Mega Mocha, Wanna Chat?, Loading and Giga Glitz. I’ve read reviews of this palette and nobody else seems to have had the issue with Wanna Chat? so perhaps it’s a one-off. It’s £30 HERE.

Awwwh, I feel your pain, Jane! Patchy dark – isn’t it every girl nightmare? (Especially if someone – like me – likes their eyelids well moisturized… difficult to avoid patching even from the best of formulas) MAC should know better! Still very beautiful set of colors, though. (But in my case I rather need extra pair of eyes than new eye shadows palette – got so carried away with Lisa Eldridge creations (and HUDA, and Nabla…) that now have way too many *blushes*

Haha – extra eyes made me laugh – I could do with several sets myself :-)))

Aside from yourself and Temptalia though there’s not many people that do give a truthful review to PR samples
It’s frustrating to always have to read between the lines to find what they haven’t said about the products

It’s important to say it how it is – otherwise, not much point to a ‘review’.

Oh wow, the lilac-pink looks lovely on you!

MAC palettes have always been hit and miss for me unfortunately 🙁

It’s strange to get such a quality variety in one palette – MAC is usually pretty good for me. Frustrating if its been hit and miss for you.

Wanna Chat has a bit of a bruise like quality doesn’t it? The other one is lovely
