[productsample] I knew absolutely nothing about this fragrance brand until some phials dropped through my door over the summer. I tried a little spritz of Rose Luxuria with no expectations but almost straight away understood that it is something special. Not just for the last – it stays (on me) the entire day with almost no dissipation (perhaps thanks to the 25% oil concentrate) but for the composition.
It’s not often you see a bottle that completely represents the juice within – or at least actually says something about it. If colours had a scent, this milky pink shade would absolutely be the perfect visual reference for the soapy, powdery rose within. It’s an uplifting citrus-floral story – bergamot, lemon and orange over lily of the valley, magnolia, orange flower, orris and rose. It’s creamy and fresh at the same time with the sweetness cut a little with amber and musks.
Memoize London is a home-grown brand, still young and finding its feet, but it deserves a place in the best fragrance halls for construction that would give the most established perfume houses a run for their money. No wonder niche and independent fragrances are worrying the highly proprietorial old guard. It’s £227 HERE with a 2ml sample costing £9. Most of the other fragrances are £177 (Rose Luxuria is part of the Exclusive collection) with a sample set of 8 costing £57.
