[productsample] There’s something just so reassuring about a fragrance that smells of the very thing that it’s supposed to. Not everyone has a nose that can pick out or appreciate whispers of butterfly wing, the hum of a bee or such things that only exist in the hopeful imagination of the creators. Simplicity often wins out.
Whether it’s the thrill of a new leather bound note book, the memory of your first leather jacket or even squidging up in a grand old leather arm-chair, this new EDP will ping your senses so that it means something to you. Whether that’s enough to make you want the fragrance all the time is another matter. Initially, it’s very traditionally masculine, but there are some floral notes taken from the centuries old practice of scenting leather goods that soften its demeanour.
The dry down, after a time, becomes soft and almost skin-like. It’s interesting that this fragrance makes so many transitions without losing its initial personality.
It’s not going to be for everyone – it has a hearty personality – but I am certain it will resonate strongly one way or the other. Definitely worth a sniff if you pass it. It’s £75 HERE or if you don’t want to make that commitment, there is a perfumed oil for £40.
