World Duty Free Beauty Palettes

The WDF Christmas in July press day is always one of my favourites – no, it’s nothing to do with the booze (!) although I will say I had a sip of a bright pink, fizzy wine/vodka mix called Nuvo that is a hang-over from hell waiting to happen. It’s totally bizarre.

However, onto things Beauty – one of the best things I saw is the Very YSL Gold Edition Make-Up Palette (also I think will come in red patent) – ridiculously lovely.

Next up, the gorgeous Lancome Palette, La Maison de Lancome.

Honestly, I can’t imagine who wouldn’t want one of these.

Below is another YSL offering.. again.. absolutely lovely and beautifully portable.

And another lovely Lancome offering.

I love travel retail exclusives; they’re always a little bit more special than stuff you can buy in the shops and palettes are what they do best – I love giving these as gifts (and receiving!) so tend to stock up at airports as and when I’m travelling and then hang onto them til birthdays or Christmas (by which time the sting of the price has well and truly faded!). It’s not that they’re cheaper, particularly, but they just aren’t available any where else, so it’s more of an exclusive thing than a bargain thing.

  1. I LOVE a good palette more than anything, I travel often and am always stalking duty free stores to check out the latest travel palettes. I have a fairly good collection of them, so much so that when I travel it doesn’t make things any easier as I can never decide which ones to take!
