When I hear beauty rumours, but can’t get confirmation of whether it is actually fact or fiction, it’s a bit of a risk to run a post on it, but excuse me while I have a smug moment, because on November 20th, I posted that I thought popular US Chinese herbal skincare brand Wei East was coming to SpaceNK in the UK. I’ve just had a release confirming that this is indeed the case, so – yay! My reputation does not lie in tatters around me! Look out for exotic treats such as Pomegranate Buffing Beads, Goji Berry serum, and Jujube Age Control Serum. Apparantly, the products have been developed specifically for SpaceNK and are collectively named Wei Beauty. The range is premium so expect mid to premium prices. Comparing the Wei Beauty range to Wei East, it lacks the colour and individuality of Wei East – a more sober look for the UK it seems.

Everything nowadays are all made in China… even if it says it’s not, we never know 🙂

Wei East is cheaply made crap that has very little in the way of quality.
Poor ingredients and formulas that belong in the 1970’s-80’s.
Don’t be fooled by the asian theme, it is absolute junk. The only “Ancient Chinese Secret” to the products is: You are being ripped off, paying department store prices for drugstore product.
They use a sprinkle of the “star” herb or fruit in each product to qualify label claim.

After using the Jujube serum for one night only, I can safely tell you people that it is not junk. My high colour was significantly reduced in one application, something I have never experienced from any other product cheap or expensive. Space NK has samples, I urge you to go try it for yourself.

Got the Wei gift set from Space NK for Xmas containing the cleanser Royal Ming face cream and 3 or 4 samples. After giving it a fair crack for 8 weeks I am heading back to my good old reliable (and expensive – sigh) Eve Lom. My skin is fairly sensitive and the face wash just doesn’t seem to cleanse througly. The cream has a slighlty odd texture in that it does not seem to “sink in” and noruish my skin. My skin is now quite congested and I am getting some quite scary lumps which hang around for ages and are leaving marks on my skin. Eve…..I won’t leave you again!
