Skincere Sensitive Skin

I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned before that my daughter, Lucy, has ridiculously sensitive skin. She only needs to look at a regular moisturiser for her skin to go dry and flaky, so she is my ideal tester for any sensitive skin products. The ones that she can use are very few and far between – she can use Avene, some La Roche Posay and she can use Tru Skincare, but that’s honestly about it.

However, new brand, Skincere, is proving to be absolutely perfect for her. I came across it a few weeks ago, and it’s aimed at people exactly like Lucy, who find it hard to tolerate regular skin care. It’s made without wheat, soya, alcohol, dairy, synthetic fragrance and preservatives, and instead uses key ingredients jojoba, shea, bilberry, orange, lemon, aloe vera and monoi oil, to name a few. She’s been using the day cream (£24.99) and the Cream Cleanser (£19.99) and had absolutely no skin reaction at all. The day cream provides all day moisture and the cleanser does the job perfectly.

It’s such a relief, as anyone with sensitive skin or intolerances will tell you, to find something that really works and doesn’t look or feel medical. I’m really impressed with Skincere and you can find it HERE.

That sounds amazing. My skin is sensitive to silicone, so I might have a look at this line.

My daughter has a similar problem. Is there a make up range you could recommend, particularly under eye concealer?

Have a look at the Aveda range of make up – and also she should be okay with mineral make up. I make my daughter a foundation using Avene moisturiser and Vichy Dermablend; it turns out as a kind of BB cream I guess you would say but she can wear it without any problem. It might be that if you blend the two in less concentration you could get a concealing element. She should also be okay with mineral foundations but they are rather drying which doesn’t help the general problem x

  3. I have similarly sensitive skin and have found the Burts Bees Intense Hydration range to be wonderful. I have rosacea and it’s been amazing.

I struggle to find a waterproof mascara for sensitive eyes – any recommendations? I use the Bourjois Volume Glamour for sensitive eyes at the moment but it’s not waterproof and smudges quite easily. A shame as otherwise it works well!
