If you love all the autumnal shades, the rich browns and auburns, then the Mavala Symphonic Collection is really all about that. It’s totally on message for autumn but somehow seems a little bit old fashioned – like this was autumn in the 80’s. That’s not to say there aren’t some lovely colours, but I find brown nails quite difficult to wear.
Mavala Symphonic CollectionOn the outer edge of the wheel is Tallinn which is a very rich nude shade, next to that is Chicago with a shot of shimmer through it and then it’s Dublin, a russet colour. Beside all three is a little peep at one of their forthcoming Christmas offerings that comes in a bauble (main pic) – Mystic Saphir. Not sure that’s a new shade, though.
What do you think? Brown nails okay or not okay? If anything’s taking your fancy, they’re dropping into stores in the next few days. What I’ve always liked about Mavala is the smallness of the bottles; handy for travel for a start and for storage, and somehow they seem less wasteful than big bottles that I know I’ll never finish.

I often think that something looks dated because I’ve seen it go in and out of fashion over the years. Both Morgan Taylor and Gel II have gone for these kind of shades and I also see some difference in shades between US and UK brands. Mavala has always been a reliable brand and as you say very portable.
