Makeup Revolution Aqua Priming Base

I’ve got to admit that I’ve never come across an aqua priming base before – I don’t use a lot of primers on my skin – but the Makeup Revolution Aqua Priming Base looks like the easiest ever primer! I haven’t put this to any kind of test other than to give it a spray on my skin (it’s too soon to say if it’s a colour keeper or not) but from the feel of it there’s no reason to think it won’t help you to hang onto your foundation.

I say this because unlike other facial sprays that I’ve used for hydration, it doesn’t take an age to dry and neither does it feel oily in any way – it doesn’t leave anything in its wake other than a light floral fragrance. If anything, it has a mattifying feel on the skin. MUR says that the base contains vitamins for a skin pep and refresh. I know they’re launching it today for £6 HERE if you want to be one of the first to get your hands on it. I’m looking forward to trying Makeup Revolution Aqua Priming Base out properly.

Ordered! God I am easily swayed.

OK – so, downside the packaging leaked a bit in transit. And I am finding it a bit of a challenge to get an even spritz across my face. I’ve had to blot my eyes because they are dripping. But I do think it helped my foundation go on more smoothly, even though it doesn’t spackle the cracks, and my make up still looked fresh after several hours and sweating through a curry.

Try spritzing from a bit further away.. and yes, I find it does give extra hold.. but haven’t been brave enough to put it to the curry test!

I like the sound of this. I love to use primers, but waiting for them to ‘set up’ is 2-3 minutes of time that I don’t have in the mornings, honestly.

  4. Smashbox primer water did caught my eye when they released that first time however I never bought that for thinking that is just a fancy hydrating water. Other hand, I use mac fix+ often for priming/moisturising purpose before foundation.
And now MUR has a priming aqua thing… and its cheap.. damn! this feels a must try 🙂
