LAVERÉ Solution Power Lip Expert Review
I’ve waited a good few weeks to actually post about this product, because I wanted to see if I truly noticed a difference in my lip condition over a period of time. I’m always falling in love with lip balms and use them copiously, but feel that while they deal with the immediate problem of comforting, and nourishing, the other things that I don’t like about my lips – such as loss of volume and fine lines are never truly tackled.
Power Lip Expert claims to leave lips more voluminious with less wrinkles around the mouth, and in a test of 30 women over 3 weeks, 96% felt their lips looked fuller and well cared for. While I’m not a stats addict, I do like to see stats. I’m always a little surprised when stats results come back from varying brands with things like ‘45% of women agreed, or 62% of women noticed less wrinkles’. It always leaves me feeling that quite a lot didn’t agree and didn’t look any younger! However, Lavere’s use of the words ‘well cared for’ sums this product up nicely. My lips do look better cared for – they look conditioned, haven’t been critically dry for some considerable time and they are definitely smoother. I haven’t paid any attention to ‘around the lip’ lines, because even going to bed, I’m not doing a clown lip thing (the cream is white and needs a little working in) and use general face cream in that area. I can’t hand on heart say I feel my lips are noticably volumised. A little goes a very, very long way, I must admit, and it is packed with ingredients such as olive fruit oil, shea butter, castor seed oil, soybean oil and Jojoba.
Solution Power Lip Expert has earned its place in my beauty routine thanks largely to the very diligent PR who has actively reminded me to use it every day, because I am truly hopeless with routines. Ideally, you should apply this two or three times a day and work in well; it’s her continual (friendly!) prods that have ensured that I have had a good result. I’m definitely going to stick with it to the bottom of the pot because I love the fact that it’s made a tangible improvement to the overall condition of my lips.
