It was pretty much love at first sight for Jua Natural Fragrance from Trilogy. It’s the most lovely, warm and embracing fragrance with a beautiful story behind it. Jua (it means ‘sun’ or ‘sunshine’ in Swahili) is a natural perfumed oil with a base of sunflower. Jua Natural Fragrance has been made by Trilogy for So They Can, an Australasian charity that empowers and provides education for communities in Africa.
The words ‘sunshine in a bottle’ is very over-used in beauty, but Jua is the closest I’ve yet to come to finding that bottled magic! Natural perfumes are an absolute b*gger to make! It’s not at all easy without synthetics because you can never have the same range of notes. It’s really the smell of sweetened sunshine made all the better by notes of apricot, rose, bergamot and vanilla. I’m rubbish at perfume descriptions, but it’s a happy scent – mellow and joyful at the same time.
Natural perfumes don’t have the longevity of synthetics and in the case of Jua Natural Perfume, that’s an absolute bonus – every time you roll you smile 🙂
