A pit-stop at the duty free section is pretty much part of the holiday! Of course, there isn’t really any such thing as ‘duty free’ any more, so brands are coming up with Travel Retail Exclusives and they’ve really upped their game. It’s self-explanatory really – products that you can only buy exclusively at travel retail outlets and nowhere else but some are very covetable indeed.

A good example of how things are changing is this Clarins Make Up Vanity Palette (£39.50) in red mock crock and beautifully made. It feels total quality.

Inside, you get six eye shades, a powder, a powder blush, a mini mascara in Intense Black and a mini Gloss Prodige in Candy. The eye shades are a little darker than they look in the picture so you have a good assortment of lights and darks to get smoky with. I’d part with £39.50 for this in a nano-second and I can’t help thinking if this was a counter product it would sell out in an instant.

I’m not exactly sure when it’s happening but you will soon be able to pre-order from WDF on a website meaning that all you do (or anyone else on your behalf) is pick it up at the airport before you head off.
