Bathina was one of my first introductions to Benefit – I remember it so clearly as well – this beautiful oblong tin of scented body balm that was ridiculously glamorous. It was also along the same time line as another product – Hard Candy Edible Body Glitters – which was like nothing I’d ever seen before. So, between the two of them it was quite a week for new products although I wonder now why I EVER thought an edible body glitter was a great innovation. Glitter in your teeth? No thanks!
The newest member of the Bathina family is a soft, misting body oil – so pretty with a lightly floral, clean smelling, skin-scent (actually, it’s a truly ageless scent; no down-wash of over-powering vanilla here) It contains sweet almond oil, olive fruit, avocado oil and Vitamin E and sprays a fine mist that barely takes a nano-second to rub in. You aren’t going to get ultra-hydration from this – it’s more of a scented finishing spray to give skin a final and light moisture boost. It claims to double as a massage oil – without wanting to spoil the romantic illusion, you’d either need one heck of a lot or you’ll have to prepare for some friction burns.
Bathina Soft To The Touch..Hard To Get (eh?) is £26.50 and launches in November.

I love this fragrance, I used to own the Bathina Body Balm that you mention Jane and it was divine, left a beautiful sheen to the skin. There used to Be a perfume in the range which had the same scent although that has been discontinued. £26.50 seems pricey to me for a skin oil and its probably not something I would buy but Im excited to see the return of the ‘Bathina’ range x
I’ve always wanted to try Bathina, but this one is just not for me… I love more nourishing formulas 🙂
Am so happy you posted this, I had the Bathina Balm and I shall be adding this to my (seemingly never ending!) wish list. Great post 🙂 xx

Wonderful post! The Bathina was my first introduction to Benefit too and I was gutted when the balm was discontinued. I think it’s their retro products which are still the best – Maybe Baby is impossibly difficult to get hold off but it’s still my scent of choice! Roll on November!
