With only a short time available now to get your mother’s day gifts in order, the Body Shop has a few new products and some re-wrapped originals that are perfect for the job.

Tied in to their ‘Treat Her Like A Queen’ campaign, there’s some punky looking wrapping on my favourite Vitamin E Overnight-Serum-In-Oil (£13), the feather-light Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet (£12) and the new Vitamin E Eyes Cube (£8). Can I just mention that it’s not actually a cube. I’m scratching my head – it’s a cylinder. Maybe it’s a play on the words ice-cube, but er, it’s work still in progress if it’s a cylinder.

Shape aside, it is a brilliant little product – cooling and hydrating and specially formulated for the eye area with wheatgerm, a rich source of Vitamin E. It’s nice and glidey on the skin, which is important for under the eyes – you don’t want to be pulling that skin at all.

The other newbie that I really do love is the little Super Soft Facial Brush – which is exactly as described; super soft. I’d happily cleanse with this any day of the week. Both are highly recommended.

So, you pay £4 for the box (too much!) and then you can fill The Body Shop Mother’s Day Gift Box to whatever your budget is – I’d be delighted with the Serum-in-Oil and the Eyes Cube, or the Vitamin E Facial Wash (£8.50) and the brush. They’re all bringing something to the party that is both pampering and practical and the Vitamin E range is one of the hardest working ranges of all, especially for older skin.
