Slim Sonic
Slim Sonic

I’ve been eyeing these up for ages – mini sonic toothbrushes that are perfect for travel – when one popped through my letterbox. Sonic is completely the way forward for toothbrushes – an ordinary toothbrush just doesn’t feel like it’s doing the same job any more and the only time I use an ordinary brush is when I’m travelling.

I had a mortifying experience on a train to Scotland once when my electric toothbrush took on a life of its own in my suitcase and started buzzing and vibrating very loudly. Everyone was giggling in my part of the carriage and I had to get the toothbrush out to prove it wasn’t a vibrator. I was saying, “it’s my toothbrush” to the watching audience but it just sounded like an out and out lie, even to me. This can’t happen with the Slim Sonic because of the cap that that keeps the on-button and the brush head protected.

It’s battery operated and while I don’t love batteries on an eco level, if you’re using Slim Sonic for the gym or for travel and it’s more occasional use than daily use, then you’ll get plenty of life out of the battery. I also think these are great for kids – sleepovers and school trips etc.

Slim Sonic is £29 but is on offer at Boots for £19.99 HERE. (If you have a sneaky look on the Fenwick website, you’ll find them for £12 – it’s the last of the stock so hurry.)
