I’m really having a moment with cleansing – I’m enjoying using Elemis Cleansing Balm and also Sarah Chapman Ultimate Cleanse which is also a balmy texture. However, I don’t – and never have – double cleanse. I know there are a lot of fans of the double cleanse system so it’s really been on my mind as to whether I should be doing it or not, but genuinely I don’t feel my skin has suffered any detrimental effects because I haven’t and I’m reluctant to add another step to my beauty routine – out of sheer laziness!
So, when I discovered the new PreCleanse wipes from Dermalogica (infused with Dermalogica’s PreCleanse oil) it seemed like this might be the best of both worlds – something I could actually be bothered to do because it’s so easy and get the benefits of a double cleanse! I’m not particularly a wipe fan, but I have to say that these left my skin feeling extremely clean and soft – no drying action at all. Following on with a balm cleanser and hot Washi cloth, my skin is positively singing! While I won’t use these all the time, when I want to super-clean my skin, they’re definitely on my hit list. I think they might become a ‘thing’, they’re so good.
The full ingredient list for PreCleanse Oil is below, but key players are lightweight olive and apricot kernel based oils, fortified with kukui nut, borage seed and rice bran oils – I imagine that it will be the same for the wipes which launch in the UK on 1st February for £14.90.

Have you used pre-cleanse in the past? Would you say the wipes compare to the traditional oil cleansing method? I’m a big fan of double cleansing, but I typically hate wipes, so I don’t know if I’m game to try these.
I don’t, usually, double-cleanse but I’m coming round to the idea of it. They’re quite oily but do really shift the make-up so they seem like they’re doing the job really well, but it has to come down to personal preference I think. You don’t *need* pre-cleanse if you are already double cleansing.. generally wipes are a no-no, but I like these.
Ahhhh no, I’m so against wipes! These seem to have a few parabens in them too :/
I do double cleanse though if I’ve been wearing makeup, feel squeaky clean 🙂 You should try the Cleanse Off Mitt instead of wipes

I’m also against wipes in theory.. I never use them, but also never really double cleanse, so while I have them to try I will use them up and hopefully get a ‘lazy’ double cleanse! I don’t really mind about parabens to be honest.
