I love that the Body Shop spares a thought for anyone like me whose sense of order is upset by Beauty Advent Calendars. They’re so expensive, and yet can’t be given as a Christmas gift because – it’s obviously too late by Christmas day so you either end up early gifting in which case there’s nothing to open on the day, additional gifting which gets very pricey or just ignoring the whole thing. Anyone who has a November birthday (like my niece who I gave my MAC advent to) is fine but there’s a whole other 11 months of poor timing! The Body Shop New Year Count Down Calendar is just right for a Christmas ‘can be opened on Christmas Day’ present as it just deals with that week between Christmas and New Year.

The contents (7 boxes) contain a good variety of products, from fizzy bath bombs through to shimmery gloss and masking.

I love that they’ve included one of the best beauty hair bands ever – I have the rabbit one and use it all the time; it’s hilarious. I’d love to know how many of the bands they’ve shifted – I bet they’re on the best-seller list for The Body Shop. Anyway, as you can see from the front of the box, everything is vegan. It hasn’t launched yet but when it does it’s £40 (look out for offers because that seems quite expensive to me). I notice that Body Shop advents have been a big success for the brand with many sold out at the time of writing. That’s perfect because they won’t sell afterwards that’s for sure and I’m looking at swathes of brands still with masses of advent calendar stock that’s going to be a headache on many counts, not least disposal.
NB: Makeup Revolution also does a New Year Count Down Calendar – £20 HERE.

What a great idea! I may treat myself to this and maybe save it so each door could be opened on NYE on each hour towards midnight. Am I the only one slightly bemused amazed by the size and weight of some advent calendars this year..?!
Ooo this is such a lovely idea! 😀 I’ve seen a couple of brands doing Christmas Eve pamper calendars, but nothing about the run up to New Years.
