Sunday Riley Flora Face Oil

I’ve had mixed results with Sunday Riley – I loved Ceramic Slip but can’t think of anything much thereafter that I felt crazy about. You know what’s coming – until now!

A really good facial oil is worth its weight in gold – everything about Sunday Riley Flora Oil (formerly known as Isis Hydroactive Cellular Face Oil) just kind of feels right. I’ve been using it on its own, adding to moisturiser and a popping a tiny drop in my foundation and can definitely tell that it’s adding a softeness to my skin that isn’t normally there day to day. The scent is beautiful – a delicate rose (thanks to Russian, Bulgarian and Turkish roses) and the texture has an ultra light and silky quality that you really don’t find in many oils. Despite the gorgeous aroma, the big hero of this oil is rosehip oil with its antioxidant and skin softening properties.

As you might imagine, it’s for skin thats dry to very dry and you will certainly feel a difference in your skin texture immediately. I’d mark Sunday Riley Flora Face Oil out as a luxury buy (at £70) but if you like to be spendy on oils, then you will certainly feel as though you have gold in your hands! Otherwise, I think it would be fair to say that there isn’t anything in this oil that you wouldn’t be able to find elsewhere at a more friendly price, but you would miss some stellar packaging, and if the pleasure is in the preciousness of it, then it’s very enjoyable indeed.
