In many ways, Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Serum is a very simple product. It’s built for hydration and that’s exactly what it delivers. I’ve used it for a couple of days only so far, but it’s enough to grasp the fact that if you use it your skin will feel far more hydrated than if you don’t. Little wonder, because it’s got older’s skin’s best friend – hyaluronic acid – alongside algae and angelic leaf – that gives the formula a slippy, slightly viscous feel that makes you want to massage and massage.
I feel the rose is a bit more of a side-issue – it’s for the sensory side of the product and it smells beautifully fresh, like real roses. I didn’t get on quite so well with the Deep Hydration Face Cream because I found it ‘squirled up’ on my skin – I have no idea why this happened and overnight it doesn’t matter but during the day it does. Nonetheless, it is extremely hydrating and comforable on the skin. I’m using the Black Tea range as much as I can, and the Deep Hydration Cream doesn’t replace that, but the serum, I will use to the very last drop and be sad when it’s all gone. I was expecting these products to be more expensive than they actually are – the serum is £44 and the face cream is £34 because Fresh is at the luxury end of skin care. Both products launch on April 1st.
