[unpaid/sample] It’s not often these days that I come across something I really don’t like – make up quality has improved across the board so much that it’s almost irrelevant what you pay for an item. However, I really struggled to find any merits for Rose Inc Ultra-Black Lash Lift Serum Mascara.

Rose Inc Ultra-Black Lash Lift Serum Mascara

It’s making two claims in the title alone – ultra-black and lifting and yes, it’s black. I couldn’t say it’s more black than any other mascara and I saw no lift at all. In its favour it contains argan, goji berry and squalane infused pigments so it should be quite nourishing to lashes, but performance was so weak. I needed a lot of layers to get any real definition which means I’m going to use it up very quickly, and the last was poor. It felt quite drying – which, with those ingredients, it really shouldn’t, and by the end of the day much of the mascara had just simply disappeared. It felt like using a really old mascara that you’d only bring out if all other options were exhausted! It’s £22 and while I’ve enjoyed a few of the Rose Inc products, I didn’t enjoy this, so I’d give it a hard swerve.
