Caudalie Jason Wu Beauty Elixir

Nothing revives an existing product like a fashion collaboration, and given that Caudalie Beauty Elixir is a BBB (and BBB reader) favourite, it’s all to the good that one of our best loved summer products has been given a couture twist. This product is standard in my fridge all year round – it’s just a lovely skin spritz with lemon balm, peppermint, orange blossom, rose and hydrating grape extracts that takes the heat out of your face without drying it out.

The pattern on the bottle comes from a detailed lace design created for Jason’s 2016 spring/summer collection (apparently Jason is a die hard Caudalie fan). The bottle design doesn’t change the contents – not that it needs changing – so it’s purely about the aesthetics of the product and if you need to top up on Beauty Elixir, you may as well have the fancy version!

If you’re new to Caudalie Beauty Elixir (try the smaller bottle first, just in case), it’s really a summer skin saviour especially during hot nights. If you are hot-flushing during the night and it’s waking you, this is lovely and soothing to have at your bedside to take the heat down and surround yourself with something caring and aromatic. It’s HERE for £32, but there is a smaller version for £11.50 HERE.

Wow! How do you stand the elixir? I find it so drying – I think alcohol is way up top in the ingredient list. Too bad for me, I remember the lwren Scott collab as well but the elixir just isn’t good for me!

I think it depends upon how you’re using it – I keep mine in the fridge for hot-face! For that it works really well but it wouldn’t be a daily use product for me – I don’t find it drying at all but I’m not using it as a moisturising product but more as a refresher Different skin types will always have different reactions so you’re maybe better with the Avene mist or something similar. x
